There are 12 awards in total with a collective prize fund of \u00a314,000. In both Welsh and English there are four category winners, one people\u2019s choice winner and one overall winner.<\/p>\n<p>The national awards play an essential part in Literature Wales\u2019 programme of activity and contributes to its strategic aim of celebrating and representing Wales\u2019 writers, its heritage and rich literary culture.
